I think you will find that the button on the dash is the GPS receiver. It is there so it has a vertical line of sight.

Hope that helps solve a mystery.

Also the rubber on the aircon hose is to provide insulation and reduce condensation on the lines.

Re the button on the dash - it's described in ToyoDIY.com as part 89120, Sensor, Automatic light control, sub-part 89121-50020 Air conditioning - dual auto and helps manage the climate.

The GPS antenna runs under the dash on the passenger side, up the A pillar, along the roof lining and down behind both C pillars.

Part is 86860C, antenna assy, navigation.
