Hello all,
Going up north (Port Douglas) again, but in January (not my choice, but better than no road trip).
Im probably overthinking, but I'd rather over think with 2 young kids on board driving uninhabited roads in 40+ temps followed by wet and humid.
Is there anything particular I need to consider for the pre trip check?
Cooling system obviously, tyres are fairly new so should be fine, what about battery? Do batteries still have issues with newish vehicles? Car is stock standard (Grande).
We will be heading up Newell to Goondowindi, then kind of the roads less travelled to Airlie beach (away from the coast), and its those roads that I'd rather be prepared for.
What would you do differently, or carry (yes, water x 2) differently if travelling through possibly extreme heat?
Thanks
