T-Belt light on - ERROR

Hi All,

New Prado owner here. Already had a good trawl through here and have plans to spend a small fortune on mods! Thanks you legends.

So, my TBelt light has come on BUT the belt was replaced at 150k and now only at 180k. Does the light come on for any other reason than kms? The belt looks fine (no fraying, seems tight) and should have no issues.

Any thoughts?

are you sure your looking at the timing belt
or the main drive belt that runs all accessories?

was the timing belt done before the light came on the dash and hence the light not reset?

Right you are. I was looking at the fan belt.

The timing belt was done at 150k, now light has come on at 180k. It SHOULD be fine. My question is - does the warning light come on for any other reason than set number of kms done since the warning light was reset?
