Spring compressor

Hi guys,
Can anyone suggest what specs I need in a spring compressor? As I have no idea what to look for.
Saw one on ebay SP Tools Compressor MacPherson Strut SP67027

Not sure what I need for the Prado size springs .

You don't need spring compressors if you are disconnecting the spindle form the LCA.

Fair point, can use a jack underneath to compress I guess. I should be able to manage that.
Do I need to compress to get the rears out and in (assuming replacing with longer springs)?

For the rear, afteer disconnecting the shocks and swaybar links, the only thing left is the brake line bracket to the left of the diff pumpkin. Remove that bolt on the brake line bracket to release pressure on the brake lines, then everything should drop to allow the spring to go in.

Great instructions for the rear springs. Will help me greatly to not stuff it up.

If you're fitting lifted springs in the rear, you'll probably have to compress them to fit, there's not enough space.
The front are struts, so if you intend dismantling the unit to change the springs, you need spring compressors or a press.
I use a press, easiest is to take the struts to a suspension shop and get them to do the spring swaps using their gear.
