I want to change the fluid in my manual transmission as it’s a bit notchy in first/ second when it’s cold. It’s an 05 diesel. Any recommendations on fluid to use? It’s got 260k and has had a change around 6 months ago but still was a bit notchy changing. Also is it just a matter of draining the fluid and refilling or is there a filter also?

Penrite TRANS GEAR 75W-90 (1.8L from memory)
Gearbox fill is on the passenger side of the gearbox approx half way along
Nulon Smooth Shift G70 Additive (Does wonders for notchy gearboxes)
37nm Torque
Crack the filler bolt first, if you drain first and cant get the filler bolt undone its a bit of an issue.2007 120 GXL D4D 6sp Man - My Rig https://www.pradopoint.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=24945&d=1487341201

Also SuperCheap have 30% off sitewide boxing day, so good time to get your fluids, G70 additive.
