Hi. I have a 3dr Prado 125 with a diesel engine. Rated for towing 2800 kg and vertical hitch load of 130kg. I towed small trailer but never something heavy. In a few weeks I need to bring in a nice Rover MGF for restoration. The MGF car weights about 1200kg. I plan ranting a car trailer (picture attached) which is rated for for gross 1800 (net 1450) which should be enough for the MGF. But should it be fine for the vertical load on the hitch? Does someone has experience towing such a weight with a Prado?

Have you got electric brakes, or does the trailer come equipped with an on board electric brake setup?
Just make sure they work, hire trailers are a worry.
Loading the ball is achieved by moving the load on the trailer, put about 150kg on the ball unless you have air bags in which case go a bit more and pump them up to keep the car sitting level.
Don’t get carried away with speed, 90 is quite fast enough and probably too fast to get out of trouble.
Those big loading ramps will absolutely kill your speed and economy.
