120 Series GXL

Hi all.
Have searched far and wide and come up empty handed. Can anyone tell me the GCM of a 120 Series GXL. Can find GVM & Curb weight but not GCM. Thanks legends

As it is under 4.5 tonne it officially is still classed as a light vehicle. So no GCM in theory is present. (All documented in the Aust Standards and ADR. A lot of manufacturers add the tow mass and the GVM to arrive at a "theoretical" GCM.

Maximum GCM for light vehicles isn’t required to be stated but as Piggy said it’s generally the GVM plus tow mass. Unless the manufacturer specifies something different.

Toyota don’t specify the GCM in the 120 series owners manual but they do for the 150 series.

The owners manual limitations for the 120 are:
2850kg GVM petrol
2900kg GVM diesel
1290kg front axle
1800kg rear axle
250kg tongue load (towball mass)
2500kg total trailer weight

If you comply with all the above, you will be legal.

FYI, the theoretical maximum GCM is for a 120 is:
5350kg petrol engine
5400kg diesel engine

I recommend you check your owners manual for any variations on these figures.
