120 Dies 1 second after start
Hello everybody. I own Prado 120 ( Landcruiser J120 in Finland) 1KDFTV 2005 350t kms. This issue occured 2 weeks ago when the car was idling. I have this mystery issue that the car shuts off right after start. It starts happily and runs for a little bit about 1 sec but then dies. If I manage to press the pedal it stays running at a higher rpms and sounds healthy, but when let back to idle it will die.
Got new Denso injectors last month. SCV valve has been replaced by the mechanic. Car is at the specialist diesel mechanic shop right now, they have spent about 12 hours on the car and they have not replaced anything but the SCV valve. They did the injector job on the car.
They have checked the fuel pressures in high pressure side and everything is working correctly. They have checked that HPFP is working. They have been checking the wiring and fixed chafed wiring of the wiring loom in one spot behind the engine.
It has had one DTC for a long time, P0003 fuel volume regulator control circuit low. it has been there for a while and there are no new faults after the issue.
Starting to run out of money to keep it in the shop. It would be a sad story to have it in the parking lot dead. Does anybody have an idea what could be wrong?
