After a year of R&D, I have now converted the rear self-levelling airbags to coils. No further adaptor kits are required.

These are 120ABMD which gives 40-50mm lift for a standard weight vehicle.
I have a few sets if anyone wants some.

      120ABHD and 120ABHHD to come.

      Gday amts
been reading this post about your conversion from back in 2009
would like to do the airbag to spring replacement myself after having to replace a bag that jumped out when jacking it up to get unbogged.
Do you have any more details and pics such as was there any rubber cushions under the springs.
did you have to replace bump stops, etc
      regards
      Doug

        Hi Doug,

There is nothing further required. Just install the springs and you're good to go.

Hi amts, how does the spring stay in place? I have just got back from the Vic high country and burst the drivers side air bag and popped it out two more times, can you please tell me what holds the springs in place. Cheers Steve.

The airbag mounts are shaped in such a way that the springs stay in place.

The springs are different to the Grande ones.

                        Hi

                        amts ,

I've just come across this thread today, after a week of research, & after ordering King Coils +50mm (& Bilstein struts & shocks) to replace my airbags.

Totally happy to replace airbags with springs but I'm now feeling like I bought the wrong ones! Rookie!

My local mechanic will fit them for me. Is he going to have trouble or need further parts?

Should I just try & return only the springs & buy yours?

Thanks heaps for all your posts, so much great advice.

                        Cheers Joe

Bilstein struts - F4-BE5-A712-M2 (they came assembled) didn't specify top hats but from the quick google search I did it looks like they're there. The black plate which holds the spring on the strut at the top.

Do you still have these coils for sale AMTS ?
I was looking at the KTRR-102AB from Kings, but Peterpilot has suggested your springs as the Kings are only 0-100kg. I thought they were 0-200kg, but I must have not heard the guy from Fulcrum properly. I would estimate a constant load of 100kg now, with the drawers, fridge and my tools. I also tow a camper trailer, if you have any recommendations it would be very appreciated.
