    Hey Guys,

Just a couple of quick questions.

For those of you who have seen or have the after market air bag man bags, do you find them of better quality then the original ones? I have had mixed feed back on them and am curious as to what others think. My Prado is a 2005 model, so i figure the original ones are probably a bit perished anyways.

Also I am thinking of possibly ditching the airbags altogether and putting in a spring set up, other then losing the auto leveling in the rear, can anyone else share any pros and cons they can think of..

    Thanks

    Troy

ill post this in the other airbag thread to get maximum exposure too

found some pics that may help, in the mean time, the large round fitting goes into the hole in pic 2 with bolt coming out horizontal, the stud goes up through the only hole it fits into in the chassis directly behind the air bag, pointing up at the floor of the car.

The straps have a round plated fitting one end [or should have] and this round section goes into the round hole in the back of the lower control arm mount on the back side of the diff housing.

The stud end with spacer goes into the only 12mm hole directly behind the air bag, in the chassis plate directly above the arm mount, and slightly inboard, and the straps are lock tighted bolts with nylon washers once installed, so the strap can still swivel each end.

That original ATS design, auto-craft have now changed slightly, and a full set of instructions we will supply with each set, after we fit the first set of new ones here. The Grande is a tricky one to get right, not overly hard, just needs to be done right.

    Hi Team Piggy,
I did do a search to see if there was anything on the straps but nothing came up therefore your instructions must be one of the 200 missing. Any chance you could post t again

    Cheers
    Steve

    Grande Rear Airbag retainer straps

Has anyone wth a Grande got the ATS straps to hold the airbags in place any pictures to show were they connect to. I am trying to get mine fitted in Perth but ARB don't know were to put them. I have asked ATS but they say it is easy to see were they go :x
