  • Suspension lift, Electronic Stability Control and Vehicle Standards Bulletin 14

    Hi Guys,
All going well I am looking to upgrade my 120's suspension (No more than a "2" lift).

I read that there are some restrictions on replacing/modifying suspension on cars with ESC (I assume ESC and VSC are the same animal) per a Govt code of practice called "VSB14". Would this restrict me getting a suspension lift?
Is it also true that after a car gets a change to its suspension the ESC needs to be re-calibrated, or it may malfunction?

VSB14 NCOP11 is the document you need to read, page 14 section 2.6 details ESC. Basically, up to 50mm lift is allowable:

    https://www.infrastructure.gov.au/ve...ov_2015_v4.pdf

“”To remain within the scope of VSB14, a vehicle fitted with ESC and modified with a suspension lift up to 50mm beyond the original manufacturer’s standard height can be carried out under the basic modification without certification guidelines as listed in Section 4.“”
