Bilstein Shocks - Soft, mid, or harsh ride for cruising

Hey guys,
Been doing research on Pradopoint and the internet regarding ride characteristics Bilstein shocks. There are varied opinions out there (I guess due to the differing user requirements).
For me it mainly cruising, with some occasional off roading along the way.

Some opinions say they are comfortable, but improves handling, some say a bit firm but not uncomfortable (Hmmm), some say a bit harsh. I know they are good quality, but the varied ride information is confusing. Anyone with real experience with Bilsteins on a Prado petrol mainly cruising would be greatly appreciated.

I went back to Bilsteins on the 90.
She came with billies and I thought they'd be stuffed so went for some white fat foam things, can't even remember the name.
That was a fail, way too soft, probably designed for off road not highway. She wallowed all over.
Then did a full Dobinson kit but they didn't take the Gibb etc, lost the plot on corrugations really fast.
Back on Bilsteins again.
Expensive exercise and everyone has a different idea of what's hard/soft/ good handling.
I also think lifting to a car 50mm has a huge effect on highway handling, can't compare a stock ride to lifted.
The top arm angles go way past their normal ride position, so any body roll behaves completely differently to stock.

Depends on the model number as they all have different valving characteristics which will affect the ride.
