Will be interesting to see how this brand now goes now that Pat Callinan runs them.

The ones pat callinan is running are the at2 pretty much the same tread as the bf Goodrich all terrains they are $260 a tyre and the SRL the ones I'm getting best quote I've got is $345 a tyre but shop around other quotes I got were $358 bob Jayne and $440 the $440 was from a tyre power and the $345 was also from a tyre power two different locations.

How does support/supply go once you head more than 50km away from the coast strip or a main city?

I have just had the at2's fitted in a 265/70/17 and they were $288 each. They are a good looking tyre but I'm not sold on them yet. Off-road they feel very surefooted but I haven't tested them in anger yesterday. On the downside they seem to tramline a bit at high speeds. I don't know if its because I'm used to the grandtreks or because of the square shoulder on the grabbers. Nice and quiet though.

I had the at2s fitted today also wanted the SRL but stock was still two weeks away and couldn't wait that long. Nice looking tyre but they do rub on full lock they quoted me $288 but got it down to $275.

One thing I forgot to mention. I came from 265/65 and went to LT265/70, since then my fuel usage has gone from 14-15 L/100km to over 17L/100km. I don't know if this is because of the tyres or something else has changed suddenly.
Any ideas on this would be appreciated.

The fuel increase is usually because of the bigger size but usually not that much. The extra might be because it is a tougher tyre with more plies (just speculation) or you are still expecting the same acceleration performance from the new tyre but you are actually compensating with your right foot.

Some also be due to the speedo/odometer variance.

I don't think it is a right foot issue. I'll be doing a long trip soon so we'll see how the averages look but at the moment seem to be lucky to get 800km a tank. Have cleaned the MAF and checked the air filter. I don't know if a new fuel filter would make any difference and I'm running injector cleaner through it on the trip.

Oh yes. Don't forget to account for the 5% change to the odometer reading. Ie add 5% more to the odometer reading.
