Oh well that was a flop, the bar may have been on a prado but is not FOR a prado apparently is a genuine toyota 76 series cruiser bar and no good to me.

That's over 4000 kilos. When you self recover, assuming the wheels are still able to rotate, you are not winching the whole weight of the vehicle. ie I can't physical lift my car that weighs nearly 2 tonnes but I can push it along the flat of my driveway. If you want to pull more with the winch then you add in a pulley which will double your line pull but will also halve the pull speed. Chuck in 2 pulleys and you can triple the pull. 9500 is more than adequate for most people's needs. 12,000lbs are for those who want to pull their car over mountains.

Added bonus got a t-max 9000 (9000lbs winch) brand new in box never even opened for $250 only people keep telling me anything less than 9500lbs is useless as I will need to aide assist, meaning I just can't yank her out of holes I would need to drive her out at same time. Maybe my ignorance / inexperience but I thought you did this anyway. Either way surely that's not a bad thing and can deal with it. Besides I'm not a super off road person don't expect to be in that serious a situation too often.

Okay so bull bar arrived today, virtually pristine condition ARB bull bar woo hoo, just a few scuffs and hell o lot of rest dust. However that said will definately rub her down and respray.

Here is my next question. After searching the interwebs I found the install manual on the ARB site, even better. However it does say that a new kit comes with a cutting template to remove lower portion of the bumper. Dies any one on here have that template as obviously idont have it, obviously. I will post exact model as soon as I figure that bit out.

Which brings me to my next question, is there a model or serial number on these things I can't find it.

started a topic Bull bar for 2011 150 GXL

Bull bar for 2011 150 GXL

Just seeing if anyone know if the mountings for a 2011 150 GXL are the same as those on the 09/10 models.

I can get my hands on a near new bullbar previously fitted to an 09/10 model mine site GXL and best of all it will be "very cheap / free."

Just i am told the front ends on the 09/10 and the 2011 are completly different.
Working...
