  • Installing 2nd hand factory alloy bullbar

    Hi fellow prado owners,

I drive a 08/2013 D4d auto (pre facelift). I bought it new and hesitated with getting any factory extras because of my budget.
I have since added a Haymen Reece towbar and front recovery points. I'm thinking of joining a 4wd club in the Newcastle area. I have a young family so I just want to do easy to medium daytrips and have a bit of front protection. I also don't have the money for new suspension.

I have recently bought a 2nd hand factory alloy bullbar. Could anyone give me any tips on how to go about installing this. I think I have all the brackets and bolts. I would really appreciate it if someone had an installation instruction (if there is such a thing). I'm reasonably good with my hands being an electrician. I'm also unsure where I have to cut the front plastic bumper. Does a new bar come with a template in the box?
Any help at all would be much appreciated. I'm also pretty new to forums so I don't yet know about all the options with posting and replying.

    Cheers,
    Mick
