Dash compartment hole damage??

2016 GLX -Drilled hole into back of this dash compartment to run 2way radio antenna cable. Drilled slowly & carefully so bit didn't push through. Only about 1cm gap behind. When pulling coax thru, noticed a thin (2mm?) wide strip of metal try to come with it. It is not a wire. I thought it might have been a small cable tie but i don't think it was plastic. Any idea what it is. Naturally concerned i have damaged something important. Thnx. Frank

All of these compartments clip apart to allow you to run cables without hitting what is behind them.. Small thin bit of metal might be a part of an evaporator coil (Expensive) or something else.. pull the dash apart and have a look to see what it is you've hit.. (And cross your fingers)

Thnx krpto. I had figured that one out but it wasn't enough to clearly see the area in question.
i ended up going to my local Toyota service centre. They were fantastic. Pulled the necessary bits of the dash away and confirmed nothing was damaged. No charge. Plus he didn't make feel like a dickhead.
The service mgr told me this sort if thing is not uncommon. A recent case had owner come in concerned with smell of fuel. Turned out he installed back drawer ststem previous week and had unknowingly drilled holes into sub tank. Lol
thnx all for yr interest and help. Frank
