I was looking around my 2012 prado a few days after i bought it, and saw this.
A crack in the chassis above the passenger wheel underneath the fuse box.

oh wow, thats nuts... been reading the posts regarding it...
i will have to get it fixed but will have to wait a little while. thankfully no offroading is in the immediate future.
now to source the plates

As mentioned there is a patch kit for this, not a big job, although best if also welded. It also means that your Prado has seen some heavy corrugations, mine cracked after a couple of years and it was a yearly two week trip along some pretty corrugated roads that did it.
