    • Hi Mike

Southside Toyota mate and yes it was a hassle however the service adviser who was the 'hassle' has now moved on so the lady I spoke to on Monday was a champion. She told me it was make down on the last service but he had not ordered them at all however the service manager was taking care of it for me and they would be here in a few days. I believe they are going to re flash the transmission again with another update however check all fluid levels, cooling core etc to ensure it is operating correctly. I will then load it up as best I can to test it out. If not straight back to them to get looked at.

So far with each service I am very happy with Southside Toyota Mt Gravatt, the guy who was the advisor but was not my favourite and I am now getting what I had asked for almost a year ago. Fingers crossed this update on the transmission works.

      • Booked my 20K service yesterday at Melville Toyota, asked politely if my mudflaps could be sorted out this time.

"Do you do any off-road driving sir?"

Yes, but not as much as I would like

"OK. I will put in an immediate DPR (?). They may not get here in time for your service, so you may have to come back when they do arrive"

No problem. Thank you very much.

Obviously not fixed yet, but a light at the end of the tunnel.

That's how I started, you'll get them, probably take about a month I reckon based on my experience.

Fixed under warranty today, apparently the hose was too short.
Steve, where is it supposed to come out so that I can check before I ask them?

            Thanks

            • Riv, I didn't get to have a look as my wife picked up the car and I'm out of town. Apparently there is a hose that needed to be replaced.

Starbuck, I have found Melville to provide excellent service so I'm sure that it will get fixed. You may need to be patient as there does seem to be an issue in getting the mudflaps.

              • I can also give a test report on the new mudflaps, after doing several hundred kms with the new mudflaps on gravel roads there is no apparent damage to the paint work behind the flaps.

                • Guys,

I called my dealer and booked a service at the same time I mentioned the mudflaps issue, they were "sort of" aware of this. I inisited that they note down the mudflap issue in the service notes and they promised to call me back about the status. No call back of course but you need to be persistant and push them, so at this stage they have acknowledged an issue but they need to get car build details before committing. So at this stage its booked in for an audit of the VIN / Build date etc, so then the can hopefully proceed to order them under warranty.

                  cheers

                  • i got my rears fitted the other week. All good still to get paintwork sorted as they forgot to do it.The dealers have a bulletin for the mudflaps as they have color codes on it and the part numbers hard to get supplies of them took about a month and stillaiting on fronts.

                    • Having read the comments on this feed I contacted my dealer and they told me they hadn't had any complaints at all.... However, one of the services guys let slip that he had read a bulletin on it, but could only replace them if there was evidence of paint damage on the doors and/or side panels... I eventually convinced him that changing them before they were damaged might actually save them a bigger job (and less expense). I had them replaced last week and so far so good. I haven't used the car off-road since, but there is certainly a lot less spray up the side of the car.

Do you know where the new hose finishes now by chance so I can check mine?
                        Thanks

                        • Hi ,Had my OE mudflaps replaced by the new ones .Jarvis allowed me to do the work myself as traveling to the big smoke is a pain in the A They supplied reply postage bags all I did was take off the old and put on the new and they do look a lot classier than what I had previously as I had added 3" extra rubber with screws and it looked second rate now it looks smick Can't fault Jarvis at all Cheers Foxy

                          • Hi Folks

Wait for it...had my car serviced a few weeks ago and they noted that I had a damaged aftermarket front right mudflap, I commented that I knew that and would fix it.

Yesterday the dealer (Motorama Moorooka) rang me to tell me my longer replacement mudflaps had arrived and when could I get in to have them fitted?

Some dealers still have their eye on the ball.

See ya on the tracks, Richo.
