Hey all,
I recently reversed, at very low speed, into a high branch and cracked the rear spoiler (pic attached). I've been told it's not repairable and needs to be replaced otherwise water will start leeking into the electrics of the brake light. I've been told it can't be filled as repeated closing of the boot will just cause the repair to break, it can't be plastic welded as it's not flat and I don't seem to be able to find one at a local wreckers... anyway...
A certain repairer wants $1400 to replace... but I'm wondering if there's just some kind of 'super-type-glue' (even better if it was white!) that I can spread over the crack to stop it spreading and make it water tight. I'm assuming that a 'super-type-glue' repair wouldn't crack either through repeated closure of the rear door.
Am I barking up the wrong tree or is this something I can do and save myself a small fortune?
Cheers.
