Just pulled out a set of rear pads due to lack of bite. The pads are marked EE which I assume is their friction rating. From what I could find online, this isn't a very high friction rating. FF seems to be much more common and GG available in more expensive pads. The factory EE rating explains why the rears don't have much bite. After installing a stickier pad to match the front, the front end doesn't dive as much when braking and my car pulls up much better cold and hot. If the diving bothers anyone else, try installing better pad in the back.

I bought the cheapest set of rear pads at supercheap, and they are terrible... every time I wash the car and hose the rear caliper, there is very dark stream of brake dust mixed with water from the rear of the car. The pads are extremely screechy as well. lesson learnt, Ill buy bendix or oem toyota pads in future.
