Transmission cooler inlet or outlet ?

Can anyone confirm if the hose connection in the pic on the top drivers side of the radiator is where hot transmission fluid from the auto trans enters the OEM trans cooler ? Vehicle is a 2019GXL with a 2.8L GD motor.

Yes, top hose is inlet, bottom outlet.

Digging up an old thread, but I'm putting in an aftermarket trans cooler into a 2019 2.8 1GD now and have found the opposite to be the case when using a thermometer to test the temperatures. Temps were taken at the hoses coming from the transmission and followed back to the radiator connections.

I've found the top hose to be significantly cooler - indicating it is the outlet, and the bottom hose significantly warmer - indicating it's the inlet.

I'm the author of the original post. In the end I did confirm that the top hose is in fact the cooler outlet from a Toyota spare parts diagram. So yes Scott is correct.
