Just wire both earth wires through an accessory switched relay, that's what I'm going to do when I fit mine up.

I ordered one of these last week. Great idea, but I think it would be even better if it was also a switch. Not a fan of having phantom load when I'm not using the car. I also picked up one of these to turn it on and off. Sure a $3 switch from Jaycar will do the same thing, but this thing looks nicer in amongst an array of switches that all match the dash
EDIT: I'm going to run it using a single 4-core data/security/speaker cable with PE (polyethelene) sheath. Got a fair bit of it floating around.Last edited by AK7; 30-09-2015, 12:20 PM.

Speaking with Peter from Solidkit, he said that you could get away with speaker cable. I just used a roll of Narva Automotive twin core from Mitre 10.

What size wires and what size fuses do they recommend?

I also bought another dual battery monitor but it was surface mount with a battery capacity indicator. This unit is a lot neater and cheaper so I also ordered one. At least I havn't opened the other unit as yet so I might be able to sell it to a person who deos not own a 150. Looking for it to arrive.
Thank you for posting this thread Spilsy.

My VSR is under the bonnet near the starter battery. I needed to by a roll of Narva automotive twin core. I think I got 4mm. I think the roll was 3 or 4 metres.
I used the twin cores to get to the VSR, and used the excess black side to the earth.

The 2 positive cables are connected to each side of my VSR, the negatives have been joined and connected to earth.
I can grab some under bonnet wiring photos if required.

Is it just 2 positives and 2 negatives on the back of the display/swicth? Or does it have the same wiring as some of the other after market switches wit the dash illumination as well?

Looks so awesome I decided to get one, only wish you had posted this before I bought another style of battery monitor that I now have to resell.
