I'm in the process of installing a Tow Pro Elite and an Anderson plug at the tow bar. I'm new to trailer brake systems so I've got a couple of questions:
Which battery should I connect the Anderson power cable to in a dual battery system? I planned on running it to the Aux but then I wondered about why some people might choose the starter battery in this case? Maybe a fail-safe if the trailer brakes power from the Anderson? I don't have a dual-sensing VSR.
Can anyone think of a reason why replacing the existing cable between the main unit and the remote head for a slightly longer cable would be a problem (ie. 2 metre cable)? Thinking of using STP cable. I can't see a reason but wanted to bounce it off you guys before I went down that track.
