so I’m just a little annoyed. Bucket loads of coin on a new car, and the dam radio turns off after 20 mins.
Ive read other posts about disabling the chime (and will do the screw trick this weekend)
but for my searching didn’t see how to get the radio to stay on regardless.
toyota dealer at first service said it can’t be done (same with the door chime).
I’ve had a second battery fitted 2 days ago, asked auto sparky to wire headset to second battery (2018 Kakadu) and he was not confident so didn’t do it - he had limited time as I’m off to Fraser tomorrow. He Was concerned without checking it out properly he may blow up the computer or potentially something else.
Has anyone successfully wired the headset (and DVD player) to run independent of the ignition. I’d love to run both of the second battery. Then I can go camping and listen to music / radio as long as I want, and also watch a movie if the feeling takes me. If you have done it, a bit of info on what you did would be great. I have no idea about auto electrics, so be nice, and spell it out for us less or knowledgeable folk. Pictures would be great.
