2011 gxl When using Bluetooth for mobile phone people say Im breaking up and sometimes when receiving I hear same from them Is there a fix or is this normal thanks

Standard head unit is a piece of s**t - like most Toyota head units
Best bet is to spend ~$500 and upgrade to an android unit. Better interface, more features, more reliable, can run apps off them etc.
I'll be replacing mine shortly. My bluetooth will only connect if I try and connect it within ~10 seconds of turning the car on.

Do your research and get an Android Unit, superior. But be warning some are clunky

I had similar problems with my Iphone 8 - turns out I had the noise cancelling mic turned on. Turned it off and now people can hear me.
