Went to start about 20 minutes after a quick town run the other day and had what appeared to be a failed starter battery. Starter motor clicking and not turning the engine over, very low volts. Replaced the starter battery the next day with a Century. The following evening went to start and the engine refused to fire, the starter appeared to spin over at higher than usual revs, and the only way I could stop it turning over was to stab the Stop/Start button again. Got out of the vehicle, locked it, unlocked it, then tried to start again, all good. Except, engine check light on and 4LO flashing. Error code was P0335 Crank Shaft Position Sensor "A" Circuit. Spoke with the local dealer and they indicated that they haven't seen many issues with either the starter motor or the crankshaft sensor at 160 000 Kms. Same thing happened about a week later so off for repairs next time without clearing the code. Any one with similar experiences, suggestions, or fixes?

Yep, a few of us have had this and it's been the starter motor full of mud / water / other crud.. Have you done a few crossings lately?
Fix has been to replace or rebuild. There's a couple of threads on it if you search for "starter motor"
