Here's another way to do switches using the OEM blank plate and relatively cheap high current rated switches with an LED. Cut away the rear excess with a hacksaw blade, drill a pilot hole from the front, then use a file to open up the hole so that the switch body can be screwed in flush with the face of the blank plate.

Yeah, I know what you mean but I just can't justify spending nearly $20 per switch with the number of switches I have that's >100$ just in switches. Another really good thing about these switches is that they are rated to 30A & I have pulled one apart to confirm that they have relay grade contacts inside.
