Engine rattle

I'm currently driving a Hilux D4D with the same Kms as my Prado and I can't believe how much quieter it is than my Prado when starting in the morning.

After Toyota told me that there was nothing wrong I'd just got used to the noise when starting cold, which started at 5000kms, but now I'm wondering whether there is something wrong and how to prove it.

I would suggest tha best way would be to drop the car at the dealer and let it get cold, once cold (overnight would be best, although with the weather we are having at the moment maybe in the arvo) get the service advisor to come and listen to it start from dead cold, as this is when I have experienced this noise.
Appreciate that this is not convenient, but generally if you drive to the dealer and then attempt to show them the noise will not reoccur due to the engine being warm.

I dont know if its because its winter and the car takes longer to warm up but geez my car rattles and vibrates like hell even more. This is my first diesel car so i do no know what to expect in regards to noise. Sometimes it rattles loud and sometimes i just get a nice half quiet engine rev. Worst when im going up a hill on half throttle. I have taken it back to toyota and they say its normal (i didnt expect anything less). Sometimes the noise is so loud it takes the joy out of driving the car. Ive even had someone sit in my car and ask why does your engine rattle so much.

I have had the real bad vibration issue, lucky my dealer isn't trying to fob me off. These guys checked the values of my injectors and found no, 4 had failed. This is all under warranty, but if you have a couple of toyotas around I suggest getting a second opinion. Cause ur issue sounds very much how mine sounded.
