Apparently the software is becoming available to do an ECU Remap on the Prado 3l D4D, this is already available for the HILUX. It will be a lot cheaper than the Steinbauer and also hidden from view.
My understanding is that this changes injector timing and boost pressure but not injector rail pressure which has been shown to kill engines.
Does anyone have experience with ECU remaps that they can share?
