Hey crew.
look strange question i know but does anybody else think they have an overly hot engine bay.
the temp sits fine on my 2012 prado with auto with water and trans sitting reliably at 87 odd. But. ........
after a drive somewhere could be around town or open road, the engine bay gets so hot its impossible to touch things. Like the gas struts you can't touch for more than a few seconds. Working on the engine is impossible.
air temps are good at reliably 2 degrees more than ambient and I don't have extended bash plates..
I'm thinking of installing a bonnet vent to drag hot air out as this is just cooking the electrics.
any ideas.
cheers.
Nelly
