Because I ordered a 2013 model, they stated that they couldn't 100% guarantee the price as it would be subject to if an update came out with a price increase, but they said this was unlikely.
No accessories to be fitted with order, I'll do all that after so I've started planning these now.

I have asked few dealers recently and they mentioned no new Prado models are coming in 2013 :-(

Hi VeeZee if you are not in a hurry I would order a 13 build / 13 compliance vehicle which would be delivered in February as there will be no run out deals on the 12/12 vehicles. You may find some petrol units in stock but the diesel vehicles are generally ordered in for waiting buyers or have buyers by the time they hit the dealership. The leadtime is a lot better than it was this time last year. Getting a 13/13 vehicle instead of 12/12 or 12/13 vehicle will put you ahead at resale time and assuming you change over each 3 years or so the later build date will be of significant benefit to you. Cheers Jason

Looks like i will aim for the 2012 run out deals... was hoping to get a small benefit for ordering a 2013.

I am going through the process of getting quotes for 13/13 vehicles and there is no update of any kind. This time last year there was an update but nothing this year and have been told no changes now until 2014.
Cheers
Jason

The 760km trip was from Mt Dare Station to Birdsville Via the Madigan line, 9 days and used 22 l/100 with no trailer! I used 169 litres and minimum fuel requirements to do the trip was 220 lts given the extreme remoteness and the unknown circumstances we could face. 169lts was with no diversions of any note from our planned route.
Have a look here for my report on Madigans http://www.pradopoint.com/showthread...ine-with-AJ120

Not to mention the inconvenience of the spare being under the car when you need it.
