Well I duct taped up the door drain holes and started shallow and got deeper. I was there with an expert. I also put a tape marker on the door at the Toyota handbook recommended max height which I think was 70 cm. I also have a 2 inch lift in. I got to the level marked on the door and while it felt really deep it probably wasn't too bad. There wasn't a drop of water inside just a little sprayed onto the inside of the bonnet but nothing concerning.
In the sand to drive out of an on purpose bogging I had to go down to 12 psi and then drove around pretty comfortably.
Thanks again prado pointers for your assistance.

Pay attention to what drop bear has said. Use the duct tape to tape up your doors on the outside including the back door. Climb into the vehicle through your open window. I would suggest buying an 80 series for the trip and save the Prado.

I spent way to much money on my rig to drown it in a water crossing that i hadn't walked through first. If I was in doubt I just wouldn't do it. It wouldn't matter if its a 80 series or the like, I have learnt this over many years a 4WD cannot do everything.

If its that deep that you need to tape up the doors.... Must be something pretty good on the other side.
