    I have these lights, very happy with them. We'll see how they're going after a 5000km round trip through the Pilbara.
    This week the oil catch can and tranny cooler went in, next week amts compressor/filter bracket and transmission oil change. As well as BCDC1225 charger and towpro brake controller. Also nutting out a way to mount my hilift to the flat rack.

      • Spent the best part of today running cables, Ando plug for camper sorted, cable to rear storage compartment for 12 v power sorted aswell as cables for cig/usb/volt meter, switch wires for reverse lights and brake controller all in. Also picked up my camper with its new fancy custom swing out fridge slide!

        • Not today but yesterday, I fitted my Roadsafe Recovery Points to my 2011 GX with ARB Deluxe winch bar.
          Very fiddly job for one person, but persistence paid off. I can now head off with a bit more confidence
          that if a recovery is required I have better equipment attached to help make it safer.

          Also, I need to thank the guys in the "Aftermarket front recovery points for 150 Series" Post,
          for the photo posts, especially from mid last year that helped guide me thru this process.

          • Limped to Toyota. Looks like issues with the transfer case, massive grinding noises trying to put it into low range. For a while there, lost high range as well, engine just revved while it was in gear.

            • Had a phone call from Toyota about the transfer case, there are metal filings in the oil. They need to take it apart and send photos to Toyota.
              If Toyota knock back the warranty claim I'll be liable for the labour.

              How the hell can Toyota knock back the warranty claim ? It's a 2 year old car, the transfer case is fully sealed and undamaged externally. How can they say that it's my fault if it's stuffed internally ?

                • Not that I know of.
                  I may have driven in Low Range on a hard surface when backing up to the camper trailer. But I haven't had the centre diff lock engaged.

                  • Under-body protection (ARB) and diff breather extensions went in today today...
                    2.8L Kakadu (Chrystal Pearl). Extras - Snorkel, tow-bar, tint & bonnet protection. Wish list - Bash-plate, diff breather extension

                    • Cleaned the EGR and elbow, and fitted an egr block plate. Amazing how much crud was in there within 30,000kms

                      • So I got the photos from Toyota showing the innards of the transfer case. Have a look at the amount of teeth damaged and/or missing from both cogs !

                          those teeth were only tack welded on.
                          and some of the remaining ones look like there held on with cocky SH!T

                            • I thought the teeth didn't look well attached either.
                              There is no evidence they were ever there ! I would have expected some marks to be left at least.

                              Can anyone with an engineering background comment on whether that setup looks suitable for the transfer case ? I'm 100% sure that Toyota are going to try to weasel out of the warranty claim.

                              • New Under-body protection thanks to Tin175.
                                Well made, strong & accurate, all went in quite easily.

                                It was harder getting the original off, than installing the new ones.
