Ticking sound from door

I know it sounds daft but every now and then I get a "ticking sound" coming from the passenger side door when I switch it off , it doesn't do it all the time but its a perfectly synchronized tick tick tick that lasts quite a while, it sounds like its coming from inside the door ???
