G'day all,
Lately I have noticed an occurrence whilst driving which may be my brain just nitpicking or might be an actual thing.
What occurs is that at 70kmh onward whenever the aircon compressor kicks in I feel a slight jerk down originating in the engine that seems to translate down the driveline and feel it a little in the seat of my pants. No other passengers have noticed it without me telling them exactly when it's going to happen and what it will feel like.
There is no noticeable change in RPM when driving, all temps according to the ultragauge are the same and when slower and sitting at idle there is no movement at all.
Under load of acceleration I don't feel it at all and there is no issue with acceleration.
- Initially thought an engine mount but it only occurs at 70 plus and under 'cruise load' so flat ground or slight uphill. Revving in park/neutral is normal with no movement.
- Aircon is still cold as
- Only occurs with the air-con compressor
- Does not occur under load and the car will accelerate hard with no problems
- Transmission fluid is being fully flushed this weekend.
These are all the 'conditions' I could think of that might help with diagnosis.
Any ideas of things to check will be greatly appreciated.
