Sorry to hear it didn’t work out quite as planned Very frustrating to read that everything works great except the brackets to hold it into the dash properly!

It’s kind of the one thing that you really need to work properly.

Just got my new Dasaita HA (MAX10) delivered. Installed it but got confused on where to put the GND wire at the back. Any ideas?

As you have probably found out by now, and as strange as it seems, the Dasaita unit does not need the GND wire (the one with the eyelet) actually connected as there is an earth wire from the car in the loom adapters that come with the radio. As a precaution I connected it up to a lead that I made up that is earthed into an existing point behind the heater controls.

Thanks mal, Yep I just found out about it but connect it anyway behind the A/C,heater controls (I didn't notice at first that there is a metal at the back of it that is connected to chassis.

Got an issue with the new headunit.

My Prado 2014 GXL gives a check engine warning light on my dashboard while I put it on reverse to check the camera.

I ran an OBD2 scan and it reports that it has a P0705 issue.

Also, I noticed that the PARK and REVERSE light on the shifter stick lit up everytime I put it back to PARK and the display on the unit is the camera. The only way to return to the main display of the unit is to put it on DRIVE then turn off the engine (at this stage the ACC is still ON), wait for the camera display to turn off, fully turn OFF, put back to PARK then turn ON again.

Any advise what needs to be done on this one?

I have contacted DASAITA already but they are not responding :-(

              Help.

Did you look up the P0705 issue ? It sounds like the signal from the gearbox when selecting reverse is somehow being interfered with ?

I used the adapter harness that came with the radio, there was no additional wiring to do, but I had several goes to get the reversing camera to display, as i recall that there were two video inputs for reverse. I also recall that there was a reversing lead in the adapter harness. I think that it was capped with an insulated sleeve. You don't need to do anything with that, but make sure the cap is still on it.

With regards to Dasaita replying to your request for assistance, I found it was 1 to 2 days, (not including weekends), before they replied to the questions that I had.

                  Hi mal,
The P0705 is the issue with the CANBUS. The moment I unplug the CANBUS and cleared the code, it is back to normal.

Which selection in the SETTINGS do you have in your CANBUS?
                  Mine was pre-selected in '08 TOYOTA_CAMRY&RAV4(Simple)'. I also tried '19 TOYOTA(PARDO_2014)(Union)' but it still doesn't work.

The SW version of my CANBUS printed on the sticker is V3.28.017BYPS with TY-SS-05 20200815 (I think this is the manufacturing date??)

Yeah, they do reply but they are very slow.

Your settings for the canbus are the same as mine. I also found the Prado one did not work. I am not sure I understand what the nomenclature that Dasaita use, but suspect it is to do with Market.

My CANBUS adapter has the same version number V3.28.017BYPS with TY-SS-05 but with 20200708. Could be date of manufacture or could be a serial of some sort.

Mine also has a part number P/N:XY-2127-0011.

Maybe there is some setting that has been changed on yours that needs to be put back to default.

                    Cheers,
                    Mal

I had this issue on my CANBUS module. You need to cut the brown wire that connects between the large white plug and the black plug. It also connects to the CANBUS module

                      • Hi All, Thanks for all the help. Cuda is right and at the same time I was just inform from Dasaita to unhook this cable (mine is labeled as "CHR" see attached image). After that, all good and back to normal. Now, I'm a happy owner of Dasaita MAX10 for Prado 2014 GXL.

                            • Hey guys not sure if this is the right thread but I've just installed a Joying (JY-TQ174N4GN) https://www.joyingauto.com/joying-9-...tooth-5-1.html in my 2016 GXL.

Have been pretty happy with how much worked out of the box, but sound to the rear door speakers was quiet and when I use the equalizer position to fade to rear, the whole system mutes.

The supplied wiring harness doesn't connect both rear speaker wires so I emailed joying support and they suggested changing the CAN setting to "Prado : XP(L)2014". Before this it was on "Camry : XP "

That didn't have any affect so I tried XP(M)2014 with no change, then XP(M.AMP)2014, which went VERY loud. I turned it down immediately and changed the CAN setting back to original.

Now the sound out of the front and rear speakers is very quiet, like I've blown an amp somewhere. Can only just hear it on max when driving. It's possible I'm getting full volume from the dash tweeters and SUB and very low volume from the door speakers. Quite hard to tell. Waiting to hear back from Joying but I might have to put the factory unit back in to make sure all is ok within the vehicle. I couldn't spot any blown fuses.

Can anyone point me at a wiring diagram or system description for the speaker system in the 2016 GXL? Obviously some smarts happen with the CAN BUS.

                              • Well not much help from Joying Support, however I managed to fix the loudness issue with Changing CAN setting to "Camry : Amp". Changing it back to "Prado : XP(L) 2014" had no effect but I've left it on that and it's going ok - nothing broken yay! There's obviously some weirdness in the settings that are persistent (not overwritten) when changing to different vehicles.

Now very happy with everything the unit is doing. Using Wireless Car Play mostly and the sound is great - except I still can't fade to the rear. Anyone else with these units able to fade front to rear? I have the same CANBUS adapter and versions as listed above.
