Hi have seen other posts on this. Can the transfer fuel filter be replaced without having to jack the vehicle and secondly is an after market filter recommended?

If you can sqeeze under your car you can change it - it is in the middle. Beware of dirt/dust getting in your eyes and a magnetic torch helps. There are instructions on PP on how to do it - the only hard part is getting the clips off if you don't know how they work. -

Binder where do you get your genuine filters from? I'd prefer to use genuine but the Toyota part didn't leave much change out of $100, Ryco was half the price. Seeing as you have to change them every 20,000km I've decided to use Ryco. Still a good brand and then I've also got a 30 micron prefilter and then there's the 5 micron factory filter under the bonnet. Hi Faulco, we use Roo to maintain our Prado and I just do some oil changes and smaller things inbetween e.g. filters, grease prop shaft etc. When I service our Prado and my wife’s Camry I just use Toyota in Lytton. I’ve stopped checking the prices these days (much to my wife’s disgust).
