Apologies in advance if this question has already been asked... Hi have just purchased a 2019 Prado VX and the head unit's low resolution display and basic functionality is less than great. Are there any suggestions on either replacing the head unit, cameras etc to get a high resolution display and perhaps at the same time, a more advanced sat nav and apple car play?

Wo-Ho my favourite subject once again! have you read all the threads on here about new head units and my moaning about the useless locked down factory head unit with out of date (from new) maps and no way to update them even if you pay Toyota more than the price of a Chinese android unit for one of their "new" maps, which of course isn't new. Toyota Australia admit this is the most complained about issue yet they do absolutely nothing about it, expecting customers (sorry guests) to be satisfied. I feel so much better now!

Custom Car Stereo Sound in Maitland (I think) can add Apple Car play to your existing head unit, they need your unit to remove and add the additional internals.
If I remember correctly it is a wireless operation as well, this won't improve the resolution but will improve functionality.
FYI I have no connection to the business, I have seen discussions on their work in the LCOOL forums and on Facebook.

I suppose some people prefer to stay genuine and others are happy to change.
Myself, I'm not worried about screen resolution so of no interest, better functionality - yes please. I also think the dash looks better with the original head unit than the aftermarket ones I have seen but that is my opinion.
