Help! Can't get drivers side doot trim back on..

Hi all, I just popped the door trim off on the drivers side of my 2009 150 kakadu to replace the power window switches, and for the life of me I can't get it back on! My problem is the clips at the top that are supposed to come down over the metal edge inside the door and hold the rubber lip against the window glass. They just won't go on! Am I supposed to remove that piece from the trim and put it back on first? Or something else? Any tips appreciated!!! Thanks
