The wire diameter can be the same. If the number of coils is also the same, then the only variation left is the free length.
If the wire diameter is different, then it changes the stiffness. So will different number of coils.

Hi Amts,
I have callipers here so I can measure spring thickness are they suppose to be different ?
I checked the invoice they wrote the correct product code next to each L and R front
The installers will hopefully call me back Monday
One will be 5 or 10mm longer free height.
That's ok leave it to them, just thought you might want to spend 10 mins & try it & maybe learn something they don't know lol..... But it might not work lol.....

The BP51 gear isn't made for the Kakadu... I was going to put it in mine but ARB would not do it.
I find with mine that they lean a bit and once you drive they straighten up... if yours I leaning that much I reckon u have GXL Springs..
When I broke my dobo Springs they sent out GXL Springs at 1st. We put those in to get home and the lean was terrible. Once the KDSS Springs went in. No issues...
You could bleed it your self. KDSS is nothing to be scared of. It's just hydraulic sway bars.
If your lean is 50mm then I reckon the springs are wrong

Guest repliedThe measurements are too high at the front. Passenger's side needs less preload, so the collar needs to go up.
If the coils are different side to side, then they may have got it the wrong way round. If you feel the wire thickness between the 2 springs, can you feel a difference?

Yep standard kdss sway bar.
If you email me your number I will give you a call & you can try something.
Or wait 2 weeks & we will never know

18" wheels
Passanger side front 825mm
Passenger side rear 840mm
Drivers side front down 45mm
Drivers side rear down 55mm
####, no idea what they did with the bleeding ect.
It has a factory swaybar and had a factory Airbag setup
Amts, I did my homework prior and did confirm the front left is different for KDSS models and I supplied a part no. they agreed
Looked at top Sturt adjustment looks like the passanger side has 1/2 a turn more spring load but could also just be the thread orientation
I purchased a few spare Kakadu rims from a gentleman a while back that mentioned his KDSS lean His installers attempted 3 times to fix it with no luck
He did get it fixed somewhere els.
Lucky I remembered the company and managed to get onto them today, they said they can fix it and have fixed plenty of them even for Toyota and suspension manufactures, 2 week wait thow.
So I'll give my dealer a chance to rectify it first. Dissapointed they even returned the car as isLast edited by Phs; 06-05-2017, 03:37 PM.

Good work helping out amts.
If I may interrupt?
Can I ask is it the passenger side high?
Have the neutralised the kdss? Like really?
Apparently there may be a service bulletin on it, maybe go to a toyo dealer & ask.
I thought we did ok with a few, but they even change later.
I give up in anything with kdss, hate it.
I'm pretty sure the sway bar is your issue. Very sure.
Too late now, but for others in the future, if you need an offroader, stick to coils & standard sway bar.

Guest repliedThey both appear identical. Any different markings on the coils?
What is the number of exposed threads above the adjustment collar?

Yes, drivers side is now 50mm lower front and back
I'll take a few shots

Guest repliedTurn the steering full lock and take a photo showing the entire length of the strut and a closer one showing entire length of the coil.
Repeat both sides.
Is the driver's side lower?

Hi amts,
Just through the wheel arch with tyre on ?
Im not going to drive it I'll borrow a vehicle for work and wait to hear back from the installer
2" lift with a 2" lean is definetly not acceptable.
Even better I'd rather just take it to some one that knows how to fix it and just get on with it
