            rascal bumping an older one - you had a great photo of the control arms side by side - do you know if the dobinson provides more tyre clearance over stock? Meaning is it "farther" away from the inside of the tyre at full lock? It sure looks like it but hard to tell without them one on top of the other.

              Straight apples to apples comparison, there would be more room between the arm and the tyre with the Blackhawk control arms (not dobinsons..) compared to std arms..
              Hard to tell when I fitted mine, as I also went from 265s to 285s and changed rim offset outward as well so nothing stayed the same to judge.

                Thanks for this info. I also went to 285/70r17 on 17x8.5 ET20 wheelset - all is sorted except some rubbing the bottom front of the stock UCAs about 5 cm in front of the ball joint at full lock, in reverse. I intend to replace the UCAs anyway but coudln't get much info on which UCAs would provide more tyre clearance, even a call to Dobinson hq didn't result in a satisfactory answer. I'll try a set of these blackhawks then, they claim more tyre clearance right: Black Hawk UCA FJ CRUISER/150 PRADO (powertechindustries.com.au)

                In hindsight, an ET15 would probably have been better wheel offset choice, but I think we can get it to work w/ new UCAs here.
