No, offset is P25 so the tyres will rub up front and to be honest the rim is too narrow.

The regs in Q are more prescriptive so checknthe fine print. The 75mm is comprised of lift up to 50mm and tyre diamer increase up to 50mm.

at best, 50mm combined as they tested the effects of 50mm raised hight ( by suspension) and it showed no issues with ESC
But combining a tyre and suspension lift combo was not specifically tested nor was just a raised hight by tyres increase
Judging by this it appears as long as your suspension lift is 47.5mm or less than it appears 285's would be legal as they are 27.25mm taller than the standard tyres.

"In December 2016 NSW joined Victoria's lead, allowing 75mm total lift, without engineering certification, but it's likely there will be detail differences between NSW and Victoria. You'd expect that in this stupid federation of eight different legislatures."

I picked up mine running 285 70 17 on 2011 xl . Minor rubbing with brand new tyres just fitted on the rear of the front wheel and by the looks (i've not had it flexing yet ) the rears rubbed when previous owner had Cooper STTs (aggressive tread) on when new. with the BFG AT TA's there seems to be more clearance . Can take some pics later today if you want . Nige

By esc do you mean the stability control? Interesting, seeing as nearly all modern cars have it.. I'll have to read into that.

    Yes, quite interesting.
    esc = electronic stability control.

    https://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/~/me...cles.pdf?la=en

Page8 13.7 it talks about vsb14, a national vehicle standars bulletin.

    Second last paragraph
"a vehicle fitted with ESC must not be modified if the operation of the ESC is affected" grey area.
So who defines if esc is affected? A vass engineer, you can look that up too.

Fairly sure a 285/70r17 will work fine on a +10
Call dynamic wheels they will be able to conform which offsets works

In the rules under esc, no vehicle with esc can be modified if it affects operation of the esc.
Grey area. So you then need to go to a vass engineer to see if its affected.
No tyre size change is permitted by roadworthy tester unless they look the other way.

started a topic Max tyre size!!

    Max tyre size!!

Hi guys, wondering what are the chances of fitting a 33in tyre under the guards of my MY2012 GXL. From having a quick look it seems my biggest problem would be the front suspension (control?) arm that could rub when turning. Hoping to avoid this with an appropriately offset rim. Any of you guys had any experience with this size tyre?
