  • BF Goodrich KO2 121/118S vs 112S

Can someone explain why 112S tyres would be more expensive than the 121/118S (by nearly $100)? 112S can do 1120kg per corner, 121 can do 1450kg per corner, I would have thought the 121 rating would be more expensive. Am I missing something?

No reason I can think of, except maybe old stock/ new stock. I wouldn't bother with the 112's myself.

`Are they the exact same size? From looking at their website, each specific size has only 1 load rating to chose from, i.e. the 265/60/R18 only comes in a 118S rating.

Did anyone get an answer to this? Looking athlete exact same tyres and have the same question. My only guess is that the 121/118S (and why two digits - 121 and 118?) is a heavier tyre and so somehow performance would be less...?

Just bought 5 x LT265/65R18 K02 122/119R today for $388 fitted and balanced per corner and was told that the lower rated tyres (265/65R18 K02 17/114R) are Grey imports that are not made in the USA and only have a 2-ply sidewall and to steer clear of them.

Asditionally, all the BFG K02ís brought in by BFG Australia are LT construction.
