    Hi all,
Wondering if anybody has these tyres, and what are they like. Also interested in comments on that particular size
    Cheers

    There mostly a road tyre.

soft sidewall and tread pattern aimed at good road manners, the size you mentioned is fairly common but only an advantage for extra clearance.

are you looking for an off-road tyre ?

I don't do a lot off road (gnarly) mainly tracks - some quite bad and sand bit of mud (DO NOT look for it) , but do enjoy it when I can. I can't afford two sets of wheels/tyres like some suggest so the compromise is always a difficult decision. I was trying to get just a little extra height without too much sacrifice of power/fuel. that seems like the holy grail.
So much contradicting information available but like to get as much as I can before handing over a wad of cash.
      Cheers

If it were me running one set to suit all as a happy medium in that size I’d look at Mickey Thompson P3s, but that is top end

        also look at
        TOYO open country AT2

        and a a cheaper option
        hankook dyna pro ATM

Don't forget the GE015 also has LT version which is more for 4x4 use with deeper tread etc.
It will be pretty hard to compare on the Yokohama sites as their comparisons dont mention which version they are using for that particular comparison (passenger or LT).
Most of the third party reviews of the GE0's are for the GE012. And were usuall positive.

EddieF & Rockhop, thanks for the input. I'ts always a very hard choice with tires. SO many options. I've only just got the Prado and it has Scorpion A/T's and I notice that they now they have release a Scorpion Plus, which also looks quite nice. I've looked at the hankook dyna pro ATM, the get good reviews and great prices. Good point also EddieF - you are correct in saying that most reviews do not say if they are the LT or P variant. the now older GE012 did always get a good review, and with the staking prorata replacement policy its a good option.
            Cheers guys.
