  • Anyone running 275/65r18?

I'm thinking about running the 275/65/18 size on a 2018 VX.
Anyone running this size? Any rubbing or general issues? (I have a lift)

I'm figuring that the spare cover won't fit. I'm ok with that.
I'm guessing that it should fit on the rear door without trouble though (without cover). On the same rims it should only be 5mm closer to the door. And without the cover the extra height should be ok without hitting the rear bumper/step.

    Who's got 'em?
    thoughts?

    Thanks,
    Ant

I saw a Hilux running some coopers in this size, on the standard rims.
I figure, if it can, we can too

Just waiting for someone to confirm if they fit on the back door!

You should be fine with the 275's. I have 285's and they rub at full lock on the mudflaps.

Did you have to put a spacer on the rear door for 285's? I'm hoping to avoid needing to do that.

I have run both 275/65/18 Hankook Dynapro Mts as well as 285/60/18 Cooper & Nitto Ats on my last 2010 150 Prado.

I was running a 2” lift and only ever had the 275/65s which are slightly taller than the 285/60s rub on the front mud flaps when braking and turning.

N.B. I WAS RUNNING AFTERMARKET WHEELS WITH A +15 offset.

Both tyre sizes fitted on the rear door but I was running a AMTS wheel spacer.

The 285/60s fitted under the wheel cover but I had to remove the rear backing of the cover and mount it only via the 8mm bolt in the centre. Around town this was a non issue as it was a snug fit over the tyre. If you are heading off road I would definitely remove it though as it would end up snapping off as it’s only a plastic cover and not overly strong.
