  • Yokohama Geolander G015 110H or 119S?

    Hi all,

I am on a set of Yokohama Geolander G015 (265/60R18) with 110H rating, and just found out there is a more recent G015 with 119S rating when I went to get a quote.
Looks like I am staying with the 110H, as that is cheaper, and has been performing great.

Does anyone have any experience with the G015 119S?

    The 110H has 1060kg/tyre, 210kmph rating, and the 119S has 1360kg/tyre, 180kmph rating.

    Thanks
    Andy

I run a set of 265/70/17s for touring, very quiet and grip well, definitely notice the stiffer sidewall & heavier construction when driving compared to the standard 265/60/18 Dunlops. Flip side is an increase in consumption of just under 1 litre per 100.
They are not the most aggressive AT but suits my use.

Thanks Lee. I ended up getting the 119S to try it out, will see how that goes.

18 months ago when I got the Yokos there was not a lot of choice in 265/60/18 LT so please post how you find them.

I did the Beachport to Robe beach track with the new 119S tyres at 20 PSI. No issues with the soft sand at some of the big dunes that I found myself on by accident .

The fuel economy on highway seems to be a bit worse than the 110H, about 0.5-1L/100km as Lee mentioned

Overall I think the 119S were a good switch, a bit more aggressive than the 110H
