Rear Wheel Arches / Flares

Had a loving brush with a tree at the weekend and broke the internal plastic spacer brackets that connect the wheel flare to the body. Tried gluing them back in place but the connection point is so small the joint has no strength.

Any ideas out there on how to fix the flares back in place ?

The only thing I can think of is a drill and some bolts, rather than buy a new flare.
