  • high lift points for front end

    Hi

I recently purchased a high lift jack.
Ive got good rear options but at the front the standard alloy bar and assembly protrudes too far out and prevents the horizontal pick up on the high lift to get in and reach anything substantial.

Is it necessary to have angle or sleeve welded on to the front chassis points and extend them out further to the front so the high lift can reach something.

What do most people do when using the high lift on the front of a '97 gxl ?

    thanks
    Adam

I was wondering about the same thing.
I bought a Wheel Lift Strap, and it work very good cause you lift straight from the wheel, and you use only about a foot of the jack then you have enough clearance to shove a sand ladder under the wheel or to support the axle to change the wheel.
I was also thinking of building slider/side steps that bolt directly onto the chassis which will enable you to get a lift on that.

But the wheel lift strap is a cheaper option and it is a standard assessory for hi-lift jacks.

You need a device called a Lift Mate. Here's a link
