Hi Guys,
My '97 VX is currently leaking air through the seal that sits around the actuator rod between the booster and master cylinder. It makes a constant hissing noise whilst the engine is running and continues to hiss until the vacuum is exhausted when I turn the engine off.
I know I can replace the entire booster with a cheapo Ebay one, but that is a huge job compared to just undoing the master cylinder and popping in the new seal.
I've called almost every brake supplier on the eastern seaboard but none have a part number for it. Toyota seems to be the only place that can get me the seal, but it's part of a $260 dollar brake rebuild kit and needs to come from Japan.
Has anyone replaced this seal and/or know where I can get it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers,
Scott
