  • Two different CV Joint types listed for the 90/95 series but only one fits!

I've had a real sh*t time lately with my CV joints. The original ones that were in my Prado when I bought it have the triangular shaped inner cup (end that slots into the diff) however there is another round inner cup type kickin' about I recently purchased and could not get to fit. The spindles look identical in every way but the new one just would NOT fit all the way into my diff. I even tried without the sirclip to no avail. Their was defiitnately nothing in there stopping it either. I'm guessing one spindle has a coupe more/less grooves?

Has anyone got any insight here? Have I got an unusual diff setup or something? When searching through ebay shops selling the CV joints, their seems to be a mix of both types available but no mention of "Type A and Type B".... They all are listed as compatible for my car. Anyone else come across this?
